This series of paintings began with a dream. There was a woman looking over her shoulder at a man in a rowboat.
The first watercolor sketch that depicts that dream (“The Girl on an Island”) is Cindy’s favorite version, which she calls “Waiting for John”. In the “The Man in a Rowboat”, 2020, we aren’t sure if she knows he’s there.
And this year…. Will they meet at last? Maaaybe.
