Our website and nickname ‘teaksouls’ began as a way to share our adventure aboard Alexandra, which had yards of teak, plenty of ballast, and the two of us were at home.
We are happy we had ten years living aboard and exploring places from the shores of the Chesapeake to Stock Island and Key West and on to Great Harbor Cay and Sugar Beach in the Bahamas.
Much different from our previous sailing experiences, live-aboard cruising focused on navigation, safety, and comfort rather than speed and performance.
Now we are anchored in our own backyard, painting, framing, and carrying on at Two Doves Studio in Murray KY.
