“Grand Canal”

When one thinks of Venice, gondolas come to mind. I have done several paintings with gondolas. This photo of docked gondolas along the Grand Canal struck me with how the light hit the bow. The ‘fero da prora’ is the metal counterweight to balance the gondola when the gondolier is at the helm.
