This painting is the combination of a couple of photos. I did a preliminary watercolor study first, and decided the background needed to be less busy, but with some color. This painting is a redo, adding a background of an interesting door we saw in Calcatta.<\/p>\n

\"teaksouls\" is a word that John and Cindy coined to represent themselves as they moved aboard their live-aboard sailboat loaded with teak (their dream from the start of their togetherness). Many boats have teak soles (floors), but theirs had the two of them, and they both love teak, so .... there you go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
